Dee, is a very personable, “lady like,” young Small Munsterlander. She hunts the cover; meaning if the cover is thick she hunts close and if it is thin she ranges farther out. In either case she “checks back” with me regularly. Dee, naturally backs, has a beautiful point, tracks well and is a great upland bird hunter. She is force fetched to retrieve and has hunted pheasants and sharp tail grouse in South Dakota. Dee is partially house broken. By that I mean she has spent a good deal of time in my office at South Dakota State University, where I am on the faculty. I train her during noon hour and after work. In between times she is in my office where she stays when I am teaching classes or going to meetings. She is also trained to lay on an old bed sheet on the floor in my office at home, which she does when I am working at home in the evenings. She travels well and is as comfortable on the floor in the front seat of my pickup as in a portable kennel in the back. She also rides with me on our 4 wheeler. She has made multiple trips with me to Rapid City and Pierre, SD, Lincoln, NE and eastern Wisconsin. She normally stays in the motel room with me when we travel. At home she stays in a kennel, unless I have her in my home office, where she has access both inside and outside our garage.

Dee is up to date on all her vaccinations and has been immunized against rattle snake bites.

Dee will be a very nice family member of an upland bird hunting family who occasionally hunts waterfowl.
